This Privacy Policy explains how Rian Infotech ("we", "us") collects, uses and
protects information when you use Rian: the LinkedIn writing product, the desktop
watcher, and the Mastreach browser extension. It describes what the
product actually does, not a generic template.
1. Who we are
Rian Infotech is an India-based software studio. Rian helps our customers write
LinkedIn posts and comments in their own voice, grounded in a knowledge base they
control. Nothing is posted or sent on LinkedIn unless the customer presses the button
themselves.
2. Information we process
- Account information. Name, email, and a token that identifies your
workspace. We never ask for your LinkedIn password.
- How you sound. The voice, identity, and pillars you set up, so drafts
are written as you rather than as a generic model.
- Knowledge you save. Links, notes, and page text you add to the knowledge
base, including through the Mastreach extension's Save page tool.
- LinkedIn content you ask us to work on. Posts and comments you open a
draft for, pictures on those posts, inbox threads you ask us to draft a reply for,
and posts the watcher reads from your own LinkedIn session so the app can show
reach and what to do next.
- What you published through Rian. The draft, what you actually posted,
and limited usage counts (for example how many comments went out today), so writing
can be measured and pacing limits can be enforced.
- Operational data. Logs needed to run the service: which request ran,
whether it succeeded, and what it cost us to call an AI provider.
3. How we use it
- To draft posts, comments, and replies in your voice, from your knowledge base.
- To show you what is waiting: comments to write, messages to answer, content to
approve.
- To enforce account limits (seats, daily and hourly comment pace) and to bill
usage internally.
- To improve the writing for your account, by comparing a draft with what you
actually posted.
- To keep the product working: security, debugging, and support when you ask.
We do not sell this information. We do not use it for advertising. We do not use
it to track you across other websites.
4. The watcher, and where LinkedIn login stays
The watcher is a small app you install on your laptop. It uses your own LinkedIn
session on that machine to collect the numbers the product needs (your posts, comments,
and inbox). That LinkedIn login does not leave your laptop. What is sent to our server
is the content and counts the screens need, identified by your Rian token, not by your
LinkedIn password.
5. Sharing and processors
We do not sell personal information. We use processors only to run the service:
- Hosting. Our application is hosted on Railway.
- Database. Account and writing data are stored in Supabase.
- AI providers. OpenAI, and Google models reached through OpenRouter, to
produce drafts, to read pictures on a post, and to summarise pages you save to your
knowledge base. No AI API key is stored in the browser extension. We instruct
providers not to use this content to train their models.
They see only what they need to do that job, under their own terms. We do not share
your data with anyone else except if the law requires it.
6. Retention
We keep account and writing data for as long as the account is active, and for a
limited time afterwards if we still need it for support, security, or legal reasons.
You may ask us to delete it. Uninstalling the extension or the watcher stops new
collection from that machine; it does not by itself delete what is already on our
server.
7. Your choices
You may ask us to access, correct, or delete information we hold about you by
emailing us. Uninstall the extension or watcher at any time. Signing out of Rian ends
the website session; the token in the extension stays until you remove it or uninstall.
8. The Mastreach browser extension
Mastreach is a Chrome extension we publish for our own team and for
customers of our LinkedIn writing service. It does two things: it drafts a comment for
the LinkedIn post you are already looking at, in your own voice, and it lets you save a
page you choose, from any site, into your knowledge base. It is described here because
a browser extension reads pages, and you are owed a plain account of what that means.
- Where it runs. The comment tool works only on
linkedin.com: a
content script there looks for an open comment box so it can show a Mastreach button,
and nothing from that page reaches our server until you press it. The Save page tool
works on any site, and this is why the extension holds permission to read any tab: it
uses that only to tell whether the tab you are on is LinkedIn or somewhere else, so
it can offer the right tool. While its side panel is open, moving to a tab that is
not LinkedIn reads that page's title, address, and visible text, or whatever you had
highlighted, into the panel so you can see what it found. That reading happens
automatically at that point and stays in the browser; nothing is sent to our server
until you press "Save to knowledge base". Closing the side panel stops both.
- What it reads, and when. On LinkedIn, pressing the Mastreach button reads
the text of that one post or comment, the author's public name, comments already
under it, and, if there is a picture, the picture itself. On any other site, opening
the panel on a page reads that page's title, address, visible text (cut off at a
fixed length on a very long page), and your highlighted selection if you made one.
Neither reads your messages, your connections, your notifications, or your LinkedIn
or site passwords.
- Where that goes. To our own server, which asks an AI provider (OpenAI
and/or Google models reached through OpenRouter) to write the comment draft, describe
a picture, or summarise a saved page, and sends the result back to you. No AI API
key is stored in the extension. We instruct providers not to use this content to
train their models.
- What is kept in the browser. Your Mastreach account token, a random install
id so we can tell copies of the extension apart, and which writing voice you chose.
Pacing limits are counted on our server, not in the browser.
- What is kept on our server. Generating a comment draft records that a draft
was requested, for usage and cost. If you then post the comment, we keep the comment
you posted, the draft it started as, and the post you were replying to, so the
writing can be measured and improved. Saving a page keeps its title, address, text,
your note and any tags, and the summary an AI provider wrote of it, in your knowledge
base. Daily and hourly pacing counts comments that went out, not drafts. If
LinkedIn's page layout no longer matches the extension, it may send a short diagnostic:
the page path, counts of unmatched boxes, and a description of the page's structure
around them, which is the names of its HTML elements, their classes and test labels,
and the kind of link nearby (a profile or a company page, for example). It never
includes the text of a post or a comment.
- What it never does. It never posts, likes, follows, connects or sends a
message on your behalf, and it never saves a page to your knowledge base without you
pressing "Save to knowledge base" yourself. Every comment is posted by you pressing
LinkedIn's own Post button. There is no automation and no scheduling in the
extension.
- Credentials. It never sees or stores your LinkedIn password or any other
site's password. It holds one token that identifies your Mastreach account, kept in
the browser's own extension storage.
- Not sold, not shared, not tracked. None of this is sold, used for
advertising, or used to track you across websites. It is used only to run the feature
you asked for.
- Removal. Uninstalling the extension ends all of it on that computer. To
have the stored comments or saved pages deleted as well, email us and we will remove
them.
